Work It: Weekly Weigh-in

I didn't quite reach my goal of 220 before Amal's wedding, but I did get down to 222!

I weighed in Thursday because that afternoon I left for Texas for Amal's wedding celebration. What an amazing time! Everything was beautiful: the clothing, the decorations, the music. And the Pakistani food was so tasty! Everyone kept asking me if it was too spicy, but I love a little spice!

Amal looked beautiful for every occasion, including the dholki, the bridal shower, the mehndi, and the shaadi, or wedding ceremony. Here's a few pictures:

This week I'm looking forward to making my lunches and dinners. I have plans for turkey sandwiches at lunch, tilapia and a Mexican bake at dinner, plus Cheerios at breakfast and yogurt for snacks. Tomorrow I'll do two workouts: walk the treadmill in the a.m., Body Pump in the p.m. Wednesday I have Zumba after work and Thursday I think I'll go to spinning. I love spinning because I find it challenging, but I don't do it nearly often enough!

How do you eat healthfully when you travel? Or do you just take that time "off"?
