Work It: Weekly Weigh-in

Starting weight: 275

I'm a little surprised that I lost the 2 lbs. I was hoping to lose this week. But I did it! My workouts increased a ton this week, compared to the past few weeks. I'm not so sure my eating habits were all that stellar, but I tried to stay around 1,600-1,800 calories a day.

One thing that definitely helped was planning out my nightly meals with the BF and grocery shopping on Sunday for all the ingredients we'd need. This way we always had what we needed to cook at home and, for the most part, were less inclined to eat take out.

I'm still struggling with my lunches. I need to come up with something more interesting than turkey sandwiches because I often give into my craving to go out to lunch. Part of it is just wanting to get out of the office. And with the heat down here, eating a homemade lunch outside just isn't in the cards. Maybe I should take my lunch to the public library? Do they have places you can eat at the library? Probably not. If anyone has suggestions on where to take a homemade lunch where you won't sweat to death, let me know!

I'm off this weekend to my homestate, New Jersey, to attend my best friend's wedding. Dominika and I have known each other for about 15 years and I consider her to be like a member of my family. I can't wait to celebrate with her and all our friends!
